Milk is a “complete food” loved by young and old. A precious white nectar that becomes even more beneficial for health if of high quality. If you too are a lover of this white drink, discover with us the famous Milk Way in Mugello!
The guidelines around the world recommend milk in quantities of 2 or 3 servings per day (one serving is equal to 125 ml), as well as the ideal portions for all food categories (meat / fish / eggs, fruit, etc.).
The reason for this indication is that milk provides essential nutrients that the human body is unable to synthesize and it is therefore necessary to assimilate them from food.
The benefits of milkare therefore due to the numerous nutrients it contains including:
Proteins
Especially those with a high biological value (also called noble).
Vitamins
There are those of group B, in particular B12, essential vitamins for the many properties and benefits they bring to health.
The Minerals
They are also essential, and therefore cannot be synthesized by the human body.
The Fats
More than a third of the total are polyunsaturated and monounsaturated, those also called “good fats”.
A study published in the Annals of Internal Medicine states that a diet with the right dairy content makes losing weight easier. In fact, following a diet with fewer carbohydrates and more lipids (such as those of cheeses) reduces body fat more and slims more easily.
It would therefore seem that abolishing or drastically reducing fats in favor of carbohydrates does not have any benefits for the figure but rather favors the dangerous yo-yo effect, which leads to quickly regaining the pounds lost with the diet.
Among the most popular products typical of the Mugello is definitely the milk. In these lands in fact, the cows are raised in open pastures, feed on forage quality, and this allows an excellent genuine quality milk.
For this reason “Mukki“, the Florentin historic company that produces milk and dairy products, has chosen for its production of quality, the special selection “Mugello”, dairy products only from Mugello, following the best farming techniques.
To allow everyone to see how this production takes place, has been created “The Milky Way“: this is a route that brings together the best farms in use around theMugello for the production of milk.
The route allows you to discover not only what are the stables used but also and especially the way in which the cows are raised andhow is the production of milk: a way to exploit the territory and the techniques of breeding and agriculture.
The route is indicated by a series of brown signs that are located along the main roads leading to the Mugello and various businesses or farms. Here you can watch the production of milk and dairy products but also discover all the other productions made within the farm, thanks to tastings.
Our Resort is located in the beautiful Mugello, right where the famous “Milk Way” winds. If you too are a lover of theis white drink, we are waiting for you at Villa Campestri Olive Oil Resort!
