Under the stars in the park of Villa Demidoff at Pratolino

If you love looking at the stars on clear summer nights, you should know that, in Mugello, away from the bright lights of big cities there is an old park where on summer evenings you can gather to see the constellations of the northern hemisphere. It is in the park of Villa Demidoff at Pratolino. Located about 20 km from Villa Campestri Olive Oil Resort, Villa Demidoff is an old building surrounded by a huge park, where every year, from April to December, the Province of Florence organizes evening for stargazing, with the collaboration of Association Luciana Torre.Constellations, the planets, eclipses of the moon: every evening is themed and is opened by a conference, organized by the astronomer and astrophysicist Lorenzo Brandi, then switch to direct observation of the sky with the telescope.

The events are free for adults and children with at least 15 years, accompanied by parents. All that is required is a comfortable clothes to move around in the park and a flashlight to carry with you, as the route to follow is dark and dirt.
