From Mugello…with Love

While we may undoubtedly be a tad bit biased, we are absolutely in love with our area of the Mugello Valley and want to share this love around the world. While Tuscany is a household name, Mugello may not be as familiar to most but we want to tell you why it should be.

Besides the fact that this area is home to Medici Villas, wonderful views over the countryside, handmade potato tortelli and the famous ‘Mugello circuit for those who follow Formula One. There is a lot about this place that many never hear about. We want to compile a list of our favorite articles about this region (besides this blog) that will let you get a little more up close and personal with the Mugello Valley.

One of our absolute favorite articles was written by the wonderful Tuscany region blogger Serena Puosi from Around Tuscany, showcasing the nine towns in the region and describing unique characteristics of each. We highly recommend starting here.

Another local expert who lives in the Mugello region (and whose instagram account we adore) is Valentina Dainelli, the mind and heart behind TooMuchTuscany. She talks about Tuscan events, where to go, what to see and everything in between.

To browse photos from the Mugello region, the one to watch Mugellogram, the official tourist office account of the region who shares photos that anyone tags with #mugellogram that are worthy enough to gawk at. We adore seeing everyone’s personal experiences which is why we encourage our guests to tag #villacampestri in their instagram or tweets, sharing is caring after all.

This is a great starting point for learning about our fantastic little corner of Northern Tuscany, and don’t forget to follow us on facebook, twitter & instagram as well, we love to connect!
