A really fabulous day out with children

Just a 3o minute drive from Villa Campestri is the tiny hillside town of Vaglia; it lies in a parallel valley to the one in which Villa Campestri lies.  In this tiny town you will find the most amazing adventure park for kids of all ages – a magnificent family excursion and guaranteed you will get them to bed early to0.

A low-level wooden suspension bridge – not far to fall

A whole variety of routes through trees including suspended wooden bridges, tunnels, zip lines, cable cars, platforms and even a flying skateboard!

There is a great website with lots of information (although the English text is a little dicey it is largely comprehensible).  General facilities including a bar with drinks and sandwiches are available too. Of course adults are simply overgrown children and there are plenty of opportunities too for big-people to pretend that they are just kids climbing trees without a care in the world!

Lots of fun and in the shade!

And as you are in the area, there are plently of other things to see in Vaglia too – especially the Villa Demidoff and it’s famous gardens, once part of the magnificent Medici empire of homes.

If you are looking to combine some history and culture with  space for kids to blow off some steam afterwards, you might just have found the solution!
