Villa Campestri Resort is not only a beautiful place to spend wonderful holidays in the Tuscan countryside enjoying great food.
Villa Campestri is also producing and selling extra virgin olive oil.
Not any oil but only the highest quality olive oil.
For about 7 hectares around the Villa the olive grove extends and allows us to produce organic extra virgin olive oil obtained from olives harvested by hand and pressed the same day of collection.
The olive grove of Villa Campestri hosts many ancient olive trees that offer their fruits that we collect with passion and care to produce and sell a unique Extra Virgin Olive Oil.
The olive tree is beautiful in any season. Longtime agronomists and scholars try to trace its origin.
It seems that the prized olive oil has been extracted for the first time in the history in Palestine, in the territories surrounding Jerusalem, where even today you can see olive trees of at least 2,500 years old.
In the territories near Jerusalem were also found the remains of what might be a first rudimentary mill.
The olive grove is mainly cultivated with the varieties Frantoio, Moraiolo, Leccino, Pendolino, Correggiolo. Two ancient varieties in danger of extinction are present in smaller quantities: cultivar Piangente e Leccio del Corno.
Villa Campestri has a long “Farm” tradition, producing wheat, legumes, nuts, brown, flax and butter, and is described in numerous historical documents as “Award Winning Farm Campestri in Vicchio in Mugello”.
That’s why our oil cans recall in form and graphic this ancient tradition.
To buy our oil is very simple:
The production and sale of extra virgin olive oil is an activity that always fascinates and unites all our family.
That’s why the extra virgin olive oil that we produce is called “Cosimo Oil”, in honor of the youngest member of our family.
The olives come exclusively from our olive groves and are pressed the same day of their collection. The oil mill is equipped with crushers knives, horizontal brakes and 2 phases decanter of new generation.
That’s how we get a high quality organic oil which can be sold directly at Villa Campestri, in cans or bottles of 0.25 liters.
Those who enjoy a relaxing holiday in Tuscany and stay at Villa Campestri will learn soon to love our oil, walking through the ancient olive trees of fresh olive grove or eating the precious oil in the delicious dishes offered by our restaurant.
That’s why our guests never leave without a small supply of our organic extra virgin olive oil.
But what happens when the olive oil supply ends? No problem, our oil is also sold online!
