A high-level picnic.

Would you like to savor an elegant “Déjeuner sur l’herbe” on the lawns of our Villa, under an oak, or alongside a stream? Order your wicker basket the day before and we will fill it with delicious sandwiches, drinks, fruit salad, and a classic colorful blanket to place on the grass.

What would you like to read during this moment of communion with nature and the portable cuisine from our Restaurant, L’Olivaia? Try out the romantic humorism of  Susan Mallery’s Barefoot Season, a story that takes place in a Bed & Breakfast and is about friendship, betrayal, jealousy, and forgiveness.  An alternative could be the narrative style of Andrea Gamannossi, a Florentine mystery writer. His Tuscan Mysteries and Flavors is a winning mixture of traditional Tuscan gastronomy and suspense.

If you haven’t brought any books along with you, you’re welcome to borrow some from Villa Campestri’s small library.
